NASCAR driver for Joe Gibbs Racing, Denny Hamlin recently had a very cheeky response aimed towards Hendrick Motorsports. Ahead of the holiday season, the official account of NASCAR on Twitter posted a question for Hamlin fans, asking, “Which race will be the next jewel @dennyhamlin adds to his crown?”

To that, the 3x Daytona 5oo winner replied in a banter-ly way as he said, “Why you gotta be triggering all these haters so close to the holidays?”
“We’re just trying to spread some holiday cheer,” said the NASCAR.

And Denny Hamlin, in his response to that, took a jibe at NASCAR by replying, “Well give the people what they want!! How bout a update what the HMS shop dog is getting for Christmas??”

This sure was cheeky from Hamlin, who has been involved in incidents with the Hendrick drivers.
As for this exchange, it was NASCAR who seemed to have the final word (for now) as they brought up one of the Hendrick drivers with which Hamlin has had somewhat of an iconic feud.
“We’re sure @Alex_Bowman would let you know how Finn is doing if you want a pet update,” NASCAR replied.
Denny Hamlin has ‘no horizon’ regarding his racing career
While NASCAR’s tweet wondered which race jewel he’ll add to his name, Hamlin’s recent comments should suggest there’s many more to come. In one of his recent interviews, the 40-year-old driver described that he’s planned and programmed.
“I feel as good as I’ve ever felt about the driving aspect of my career.”
He added, “If you had asked me three years ago, I’d have been like, ‘ugh, how much longer do I want to do this?’ And now I have no horizon, I don’t know.”

“As long as I stay competitive like I’ve been doing, I don’t know. I’ll race until I’m Mark Martin, I guess.”
In 2021, Hamlin missed out on yet another opportunity to win the Cup Series title, the one thing missing in his career. And next season, he would hope to charge at the top prize again, but will another Hendrick car get in his way?
