Bob Murray’s run as the longest tenured general manager in Anaheim Ducks history ended in early November after he resigned amid an investigation that he verbally mistreated office staff.
Murray said in a statement that he would enroll in an alcohol treatment program.
Ducks form committee
In a new report from Pierre LeBrun, he states that the Ducks have formed a committee to look for a new GM.
“CEO Michael Schulman, Scott Niedermayer, Paul Kariya and President of Business Operations Aaron Teats,” are part of the group per LeBrun. “Obviously owners Susan and Henry Samueli also part of things.”
The Ducks opted to take their time hiring a new GM which took Jeff Gorton off the table when the Montreal Canadiens moved quickly to hire him.
