Jimmie Johnson will be a regular on Saturdays and Sundays in IndyCar
At 46-years of age, Johnson is set to add even more to his illustrious career, including a shot at the prestigious Indianapolis 500. He announced his intention to be going full-time for the coming season of IndyCar after he impressed in his rookie season in 2021.
And along with his host of admirers, NASCAR driver Kurt Busch also predicts a successful 2022 for the former Hendrick driver.
Busch said, “Jimmie’s experience with a full year of road courses in an IndyCar will mean the comfort level is high for him. That’s why I think he was ready to go oval racing, and I believe he’ll be fantastic.”

He continued, “He’ll jump in and feel the old memories of running and winning there in the Brickyard 400. He knows the track, he know ovals in general, and now he knows an IndyCar much better than he did a year ago.”
Busch added that he thinks Johnson has the chance to do “a really good job,”; something his fans would also hope for. But there’s one more thing they’d be hoping for.
