Sioux Falls, S.D. – Augustana football student-athlete Logan Swanson has been named to the Elite 100 Squad team by D2football.com.
The D2football.com Elite 100 is selected by the staff of D2football.com with input from coaches, scouts, media, and sports information directors from around the country.
Swanson from Mankato, Minnesota, had 21 solo tackles this season and a season total of 27 tackles in 12 games played for the Vikings. He help, lead the Vikings defensive line that only gave up 41.8 rushing yards per game this season, the best in NCAA Division II.
He would go on to help Augustana to win the 2021 NSIC football Championship and host a Division II playoff game the first since 2010.
Off the field, Swanson was named the 2021 NSIC Glen Galligan Award winner, which is given out to a student-athlete who participates for four years and is academically superior while making a positive contribution to the university. The award is voted by NSIC Head Coaches.
