VIDEO: Australian Master of the Amateurs Round 3 Update
The Australian Master of the Amateurs is well underway in Australia, and we a “moving day” update video for you below.
This tournament attracts players from around the world to the amazing venues of the Australian Sandbelt — this year’s championship is being contested at Victoria Golf Club.
Players are battling to overcome the windy conditions in the third round, and trying to move up the leaderboard to make the cut. In total, 45 Men and 25 Women will be playing tomorrow morning, in Round 4.
The Men’s Championship race is tightening up, with Harrison Crow leading the charge at 6-under. and Corey Lamb (4-under) giving chase. Andre Lautee and Konrad Cuipek are three back, and easily within striking range at 3-under. Jeneath Wong leads the women by a whopping seven shots at 2-under.

ABOUT THE Master of the Amateurs
The Master of the Amateurs, a 72-hole medal play
Championship played in Melbourne, Australia,
has rapidly become one of the
elite championships in amateur golf. Like The
Masters, the champion
receives a Green Jacket. Contestants
participate in the first round of the
championship with professional golfers in a
unique Am-Pro Invitational.
The Master of the Amateurs winner gets an
invitation to the Porter
Cup in the U.S. Likewise the winners of those
two tournaments receive invitations to the
next Master of the Amateurs tournament.
A qualifying round (see tournament
website for date and handicap requirement)
allows
three non-exempt players to earn invitations
into the prestigious field.
A women’s division featuring 21 elite female
amateurs
has been added starting with the 2018 tournament.
