PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football Head Coach Stan Drayton named J.T. Hill as his Director of Player Personnel / Pro Liaison. Hill helped the Alabama Crimson Tide sustain success as perennial College Football Playoff contenders by helping sign multiple top ranked classes and several future first round draft picks.
“J.T. has seen recruiting at the highest level of college football,” said Drayton. “He knows how to identify top-tier talent. He’s been fortunate to learn from the best in the business in Nick Saban, and has been able to recruit all over the country. His experience will help us set a strong foundation for the future.”
“I am extremely grateful for Coach Drayton for believing in me and providing me with the opportunity to come help build something that can be truly special here at Temple,” said Hill. “Coach Drayton is as genuine as anyone who I have been around in this business and has proven himself as an elite recruiter time after time. We share the same vision for the type of young men it is going to take to build a championship level football program – players who love to compete and are mentally and physically tough. I am fired up to get to work and even more excited to be a part of the future of Temple Football under Coach Drayton’s leadership.”
Hill comes to Temple after one season as director of recruitment/player personnel and pro liaison at Florida International where he worked with Temple’s new chief of staff, Everett Withers.
Prior to FIU, Hill spent the 2020 season at Tennessee as the assistant director of player personnel. Hill also spent time during 2019 with the Miami Dolphins as a scouting assistant. A native of Centre, Alabama, Hill spent 2016-2019 on staff at Alabama as a recruiting specialist helping the Crimson Tide to not only the 2017 National Championship but the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in 2017 and 2019.
