DURHAM – Duke women’s soccer head coach Robbie Church has announced that the team will compete in five exhibition matches during the spring, beginning with a contest against North Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m.
The Blue Devils and Tar Heels will play at the 751 practice fields on Duke’s campus, located on Cameron Boulevard across the street from the entrance to the Green Zone Parking Lot. Attendance will be open to the general public, and those planning to attend are encouraged to exercise caution when crossing Cameron Boulevard.
Each of Duke’s four remaining exhibitions will take place away from campus, led off by a scrimmage against the NWSL’s North Carolina Courage in Cary, N.C., on Thursday, March 3 at 4 p.m. The Blue Devils will then travel to Richmond, Va., for a match against Virginia on Saturday, March 26. A start time will be announced at a later date.
Duke and Wake Forest will face one another on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C., before the Blue Devils wrap up their spring slate against NC State on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. in Raleigh, N.C.
Further details on Duke’s spring exhibitions, including opponent field locations and attendance policies, will be provided closer to the date of each match.
The Blue Devils ended the 2021 campaign ranked No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll after posting a 16-4-1 record and advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the second straight season.
