MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant is officially an All-Star.
In his third year in the NBA, Morant will make his first NBA All-Star appearance, and he will make it as a starter for the Western Conference.
Memphis has not boasted an All-Star Starter since Marc Gasol in the 2016-17 season.
Morant, 22, has been on a tear this season, averaging 25.8 points per game during the first 37 games of the season, two years after winning Rookie of the Year honors.
Memphis’ biggest star will share the court with Western Conference starting teammates Steph Curry, LeBron James, Andrew Wiggins, and Nikola Jokic.
The 2022 NBA All-Star Game is set to tip-off on Feb. 20 in Cleveland, Ohio.
