It sounds like New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will be the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders have yet to make a decision on their next head coach, though it sounds like McDaniels has emerged as the true frontrunner.
McDaniels reportedly interviewed for the head coaching job earlier this week. He reportedly came across very well at the interview, with many believing that he will become the AFC West franchise’s next head coach.
Sports insider Jordan Schultz reports that McDaniels laid out an aggressive plan for quarterback Derek Carr and the Raiders offense.
“I’m told Josh McDaniels laid out an extensive/aggressive offensive system that he believes Derek Carr can execute — focused on continued use of play-action and much more two TE sets w/both Darren Waller and Foster Moreau. Would be surprised if McDaniels isn’t Raiders next HC,” he reported.
McDaniels reportedly had a lengthy dinner with Raiders owner Mark Davis.
“Davis was blown away by Josh, and sees him as a huge plus for Derek [Carr],” a source told Schultz.

Perhaps we’ll get news of a hiring soon.
“There’s a reason why Vegas made the playoffs. Pieces are in place….minus WR…..Hunter and Zay are studs. Give Carr one more piece,” one fan admitted.
“So Washington fans can officially stop talking about Carr. It was always super unlikely anyway,” another fan admitted.
“The AFC is about to be the “Euphoria” of the NFL. Mad chaos from every team this season,” one fan predicted.

“There has to be a commitment from the organization that they will give him what he needs to succeed… He’d love to do it in Las Vegas but wants a chance.” pic.twitter.com/7zDokneRvz

Perhaps the commitment will actually be there from Las Vegas…
