The NFL didn’t host a Pro Bowl in 2021. That led to there being fewer official Pro Bowlers than usual, as the league didn’t need to designate alternates for the game.
However, the game is returning in 2022. As a result, the Pro Bowl rosters are lengthening once again, as alternates are needed to ensure that both teams will be able to field complete enough rosters to host the exhibition.
While plenty of players, including Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, have opted out of the game, there will still be a lot of talent on display. Justin Herbert was voted the AFC’s starting quarterback, and he’ll look to show off his talent once again with little defensive pressure in his face.
Below is a full breakdown of the 2022 Pro Bowl rosters, including the full list of player selections, starters, alternates and coaches for the contest.

Nick Bosa led the way in the NFC and was joined by two other 49ers — fullback Kyle Juszczyk and tight end George Kittle — in the conference’s top-six vote-getters.
