Golfer John Daly was at the Newport Beach Country Club for the Hoag Classic tournament when he put former President of the United States, Donald Trump, on speakerphone as Instagram user @nopopsgolf recorded the conversation.
Trump admitted to Daly that even though he was Vladimir Putin‘s friend, he once threatened the Russian leader with ‘hitting Moscow’ if he attempted to use nuclear power. He went on to say that he also threatened Chinese President Xi Jinping if he tried to invade Taiwan.
“They’re all saying, ‘Oh he’s a nuclear power,'” Trump said of Putin. “It’s like they’re afraid of him.
“You know, he was a friend of mine. I got along great with him. I say, ‘Vladimir, if you do it, we’re hitting Moscow. I said, ‘We’re gonna hit Moscow.’ And he sort of believed me, like five percent, 10 percent. That’s all you need.”
Trump also threatened Chinese President Xi Jinping
Trump continued his rant on why Putin didn’t invade Ukraine while he was in office, saying he knew he couldn’t do it during his presidency. Daly then brought up Chinese President Xi Jinping, telling Trump, “It’s funny how Xi didn’t bother you either.”
“No, Xi didn’t bother me,” Trump said. “I told him the same thing. That’ll be next. That’s gonna be next. Taiwan will be next. You won’t have any computer chips. They’ll blow them off the face of the earth.”
