Ray Cook has been promoted to general manager of the Vardon Golf Club. Cook joined the Vardon back in the spring of 2020 as manager of the Bar & Grille and has made a significant impact from day one, according to information provided by the golf club. Prior to coming to the Vardon, Cook spent ten years as General Manager at Paradiso and brings more than thirty years in food/beverage and managerial experience to the Vardon.
Cook’s new role will further coordinate the member/player/guest experience on and off the course. As the Vardon continues to evolve and grow, Ray will provide a new continuity in the ongoing efforts to make the entire Vardon experience better every season. Along the lines of continuity, Todd Lee remains the Club Pro and Pro Shop Manager while Bruce Ruppert will continue to lead the groundskeeping team. The Club is expecting the return of the vast majority of its staff for 2022, who will work closely with Cook, Lee and Ruppert on continuing improvements to the course, amenities, facilities and the overall member and guest experience.
