MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Emily Dunbar picked up a win in singles and doubles Tuesday morning as the Spiders dropped a match to Campbell, 5-1, at the College of Charleston Tennis Complex.
Campbell clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, but the Richmond duo of Dunbar and Sara Salemyr won 6-3 to improve to 3-3 at No. 1 doubles this season.
The Spiders dropped singles matches at the No. 6, 3, and 4 spots before Dunbar won her singles match at the No. 1 spot, 6-3, 6-4, for Richmond’s lone point of the day.
Marta Buendia fought to a tiebreaker at the No. 5 spot, and Carly Cohen went unfinished at the No. 2 spot.
The Spiders are back in action Friday, March 11 when they face College of Charleston at 11 a.m.
