RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond men’s tennis team dropped a match to Rice 7-0 Monday afternoon at the Westhampton Tennis Courts.
Rice clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, and John Walsh and Campbell Erwin went unfinished on court one to remain a perfect 4-0 at No. 1 doubles.
The Spiders went down in straight sets on all courts in singles action, but Ricky Bell battled to a tiebreak in set two before ultimately falling 6-2, 7-5.
The Spiders are right back at it Wednesday when they host Virginia Wesleyan at the Westhampton Tennis Complex beginning at 1:30 p.m.
