There’s not too much crossover from college football and college basketball, excluding the fans, of course.
However, University of Texas Longhorns men’s basketball head coach Chris Beard explains that Alabama football’s head coach Nick Saban actually taught him something g that he has used in the Longhorn’s basketball program.
Beard states that Saban taught him how to quickly gather information and disseminate it to his team in a short amount of time, a skill necessary in just about every sport.
Saban’s coaching abilities transcend beyond football and his ability to instruct not just players, but coaches too is a great example as to what makes him so special. One of the greatest coaches in all of football also has the ability to aid in the coaching of another prominent sport.
In fact, Saban is actually known as a big lover of basketball.
On the quick turnaround, Chris Beard said he learned a lot from Nick Saban and the Alabama football program on gathering and disseminating a lot of information in a short amount of time.
“What you give the players and when is really important,” Beard said. #HookEm #MarchMadness
