Does Scottie Barnes prefer Kobe Bryant over LeBron James?
Following the Raptors’ recent 128-123 loss against the Lakers, Barnes was asked about James in an interview. According to Barnes, he was “really more of a Kobe (Bryant) fan“.
DIVE DEEPER
However, he acknowledged what James has done for the game and his future Hall of Famer status. Additionally, James has also paved the way for many others who want to play in the NBA. Big players who want to choose different roles on the court have James to thank.
Barnes, 20, was born when Bryant had just won his three-peat with the Lakers. Having grown up with Bryant playing dominant basketball on the court, makes his love for the late NBA legend unsurprising. Of course, Bryant also led the Lakers to two more titles in 2009 and 2010.
Do fans agree?
Overall, fans seemed happy with Barnes’ answer. Bryant has been an icon for many fans across the globe, and Barnes is no exception. Some fans added Bryant was better with his game, and wrote that Barnes did indeed know his basketball.
James, on his end, started playing in 2003. His career began with the Cleveland Cavaliers before he moved to the Miami Heat. The Los Angeles Lakers are the third team in his career. James has won titles with all the three teams he has played with, while performing at a high level his entire career.
