It’s madness this March for Columbus hockey. The Ohio State women’s hockey team won the program’s first ever NCAA championship on Sunday, beating Minnesota-Duluth by a 3-2 score in the national championship game. It was a big win for these ladies and the city of Columbus. Congratulations on bringing home the hardware!

The Blue Jackets announced their new jersey sponsor this week, Safelite AutoGlass, and who was there to help make the big announcement? The answer is James Buster Douglas, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world! He was joined by a group of notable CBJ fans as the Blue Jackets became the first NHL team to announce a sponsor on their jerseys.

Team reporter Jeff Svoboda put his goalie skills to the test as he joined The Hockey Guys, the popular TikTok group with more than 1.3 million followers on the ice. The Hockey Guys had some impressive shootout moves, but they were no match for The Jackets Insider in net. Blue Jackets prospect Kent Johnson and his team at the University of Michigan won the Big Ten Championship this week, another great victory for the future Blue Jacket and even more proof that this guy is the real deal. The Wolverines now enter the NCAA tournament with an eye on a national title.

The most important guest from this week came to us from A Kid Again, an organization dedicated to giving childhood illness a timeout. The organization provides adventures and activities for kids battling life-threatening illnesses, including a trip to a Jackets game and getting to take some shots on the ice. Thank you to the Lady Jackets and The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation for helping set this up!
