NEWS: FIFA forced to restructure Oceania World Cup qualifiers after COVID-19 withdrawals
FIFA have restructured the format of the Oceania World Cup qualification tournament after the Cook Islands and Vanuatu were forced to withdraw due to COVID-19 cases.
Both nations were in Group A but FIFA said all matches involving the two teams “shall be deemed to have not taken place”.
Prior to their withdrawal from the tournament, Cook Islands were third after their 2-0 defeat by Solomon Islands.
Vanuatu were yet to play their first game, against Tahiti.
As a result, Solomon Islands and Tahiti — the two remaining teams in Group A — will play their group fixture on Thursday which will determine the winner and runner-up of the group.

NEWS: Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic signs contract extension until 2026
Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has signed a four-year contract extension with the Italian giants.
Brozovic had entered the final year of his deal with Inter and had been linked to several top clubs around Europe, including Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 29-year-old was able to sign a pre-contract agreement with other clubs in January, but no move materialised.

Pogba says he experienced depression under former Manchester United manager Mourinho
Paul Pogba has said that he has struggled with depression since playing under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Pogba was interviewed by the French tabloid Le Figaro, and when asked whether he had experienced depression during his career, replied: “Completely, and several times in my career.
“I knew I was (depressed), but you don’t talk about it. Sometimes you don’t know you’re depressed. You just want to get away from everyone, to be alone. But those are unmistakable signs.
“Personally, it started when I was with José Mourinho in Manchester. You ask yourself questions. You wonder if it’s your fault, because you have never experienced moments like that before in your life.”
