Shaquille O’Neal’s rap career is one of the more hilarious parts of his career. It’s not because he’s bad at it, no. Far from it, actually: the NBA legend is one of the better hip-hop artists in the league. He has dropped many mixtapes back in his day, and isn’t afraid to freestyle when needed.
Case in point: this epic diss. During a surprise belated birthday celebration, Shaquille O’Neal dissed Inside the NBA co-host Charles Barkley in hilarious fashion, invoking Will Smith in the process. Man, Shaq disses never get old. (via TMZ)
Shaq and Chuck’s dynamic has been one of the building blocks of Inside the NBA for many years. The two are obviously close friends, but they aren’t afraid to make fun of each other in their show. In fact, it’s their bread-and-butter: both legends have traded barbs against each other on camera for years now, with Ernie Johnson trying to calm them down and Kenny Smith egging them on.
Their chemistry together is what made Inside the NBA such a critically acclaimed show. While it still gives the traditional basketball analysis of most half-time shows, it also mixes in a healthy dose of hilarity and hijinks from its crew. Tune into any episode, and you’re guaranteed at least one Shaq and Chuck roast battle in there.
Will Shaq acutally pull through though, and give Chuck the “Will Smith“? It would certainly make for hilarious content, and would send many fans over the edge if they do do it.
