Australia’s home of UEFA football, Stan Sport, is ending its first season at the helm by introducing a streaming first in the country.
Fans will now be able to watch UEFA Champions League and Europa League games in 4K Ultra HD live and on-demand via supported devices.
“The addition of 4K Ultra HD streaming means Australia’s best sports streaming service just got even better,” Stan’s Director of Sport Ben Kimber said.
“We are proud to be leading the way as the first streaming service in Australia to offer live 4K sport, and providing the best way for football fans to watch the game they love.”

Stan Sport replaced Optus Sport as the broadcaster of UEFA competitions in Australia this season after winning a blind auction for the rights.
The streaming service’s arrival frustrated football fans initially as the sport’s broadcast rights were further fragmented.
Stan Sport have, however, won over many viewers with their strong coverage led by the likes Max Rushden, Mark Bosnich and Craig Foster.
Both the Champions League and Europa League are at the quarter-final stages with the first legs being played this week.
On Wednesday morning, both Liverpool and Manchester City claimed wins over Benfica and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Thursday will see Villarreal host Bayern Munich, while Chelsea welcome Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge with both games kicking off from 5am (AEST).
Stan’s add-on sport package is available for $10 a month and with free trials for new customers available here.
