‘Out Of This World’ Golf Tournament held April 16 at Turtle Creek Golf Club
BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Brevard County held their 2nd Annual “Out Of This World” Golf Tournament on April 16 at Turtle Creek Golf Club in Rockledge.
More than 90 golfers on 24 teams came out for this Space-themed event that raised more than $14,500 for the nonprofit.
The space-themed event began with a speedy registration so the golfers could enjoy a breakfast of coffee, “Rocket Fuel”, and a variety of Danish and donuts.
GolfCarts Unlimited sponsored a “Hole-in-One Challenge” with a brand new golf cart for the prize.
Dixon Golf hosted a few challenges on the course to entertain the golfers. A Silent Auction, distribution of door prizes, and Tournament Awards were held during the luncheon in the Twisted Birch Sports Bar and Grill.
Every golfer received a “Loaded Mug” and a door prize as a thank you for their support.
This springtime fundraising tournament was created last year with “Space Coast” Space enthusiasts in mind. Several foursomes played from United Launch Alliance and STS Aviation Services, US this year, and the nonprofit hopes to attract more space agencies for the 3rd Annual event in April 2023.
