LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head soccer coach Manny Martins has announced the schedule for the 2022 season as the Aggies will open at Northern Arizona on Thursday, Aug. 18, before welcoming Idaho State to Logan on Sunday, Aug. 21. The game marks the first of 10 home contests for USU at Chuck & Gloria Bell Field.
“Our schedule is one that will really test us in the preseason and get us ready for what will be another great year of soccer in the Mountain West” Martins said. “We finished off the spring on a high note and we’ll look to build on that as we move into our first match at NAU in August.”
The Aggies’ home opener will be followed by two more contests in Logan as Utah State will host Illinois State on Thursday, Aug. 25, and Grand Canyon on Sunday, Aug. 28.
Utah State opens the month of September on the road at UC Riverside, on Thursday, Sept. 1, before back-to-back road matches at Texas on Thursday, Sept. 8, and at Utah on Sunday, Sept. 11. The Aggies host BYU on Friday, Sept. 15, in the first of only two home matches for the Aggies during the month. USU closes out its non-conference slate at Northern Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 18, before opening Mountain West play at Nevada on Thursday, Sept. 22.
USU welcomes UNLV to the pitch on Sunday, Sept. 25, in the Aggies’ conference home opener and then closes the month of September at Wyoming on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Utah State remains on the road at Colorado State on Sunday, Oct. 2, before facing Colorado College and Air Force in a two-match homestand on Thursday, Oct. 6, and Sunday, Oct. 9, respectively. The Aggies close out their 2022 road slate at Fresno State and San José State on Thursday, Oct. 13, and Saturday, Oct. 16.
USU ends its 2022 regular season with three-straight home matches, beginning with San Diego State on Thursday, Oct. 20. The homestand concludes with New Mexico on Sunday, Oct. 23, and Boise State on Thursday, Oct. 27.
The season leads up to the MW Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 1-5, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
