Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Friday, May 6.
Dembele move
As per FourFourTwo, Arsenal have a chance to hijack a deal for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele – and finally bring a much-coveted star to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have been linked with a move for the World Cup winner for a long time, and his time in Catalonia could come to and end sooner rather than later.

Edu given three-man striker shortlist to replace Nketiah
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes that the Gunners need to look elsewhere for a striker this summer as they can’t rely on Eddie Nketiah moving forward.
“It shows you what half a striker can do in that Arsenal team,” Campbell told Football Insider. “Nketiah has a bit of pace and can run in behind. In the second half [against West Ham] I thought he stretched the pitch really well.
“You wouldn’t say Eddie is a top-class striker. If Nketiah was on the market, he is not one of the strikers the club would be going for. Arsenal need to upgrade that position. As good as Nketiah is, he is not the answer. We need two strikers. We are talking about a [Darwin] Nunez, [Victor] Osimhen or a [Gabriel] Jesus. Nketiah didn’t score against West Ham despite the fact he had chances. The other three would have scored and that is the difference.
“No disrespect but Nketiah is not the answer. He is a fox in the box but he is not the answer. He needs to play games.”

Bold third kit choice
Four wins from Arsenal’s last four games would guarantee a spot in the Champions League next season – a haul that would see the club qualify for the elite competition for the first time since the 2015/16 campaign.
Whilst that’s not going to be an easy task, especially with the North London Derby coming up next Thursday (May 12), if they do qualify, the Gunners will have plenty to look forward to in 2022/23. In the meantime though, they can start to be excited about wearing their new stash.
That’s because it’s the time of the year again where fans get excited about their club’s new kits. Although there’s been no official confirmation from the powers that be, it looks as though Arsenal’s new strips have been revealed online.
With that in mind, it’s the third kit that’s a little bit more out there. That’s because if the leaks are to be believed, for the first time, Arsenal will don a pink strip.
