The partnership will include financial support, charitable and tourney alignment, and investments to help make golf more diverse and inclusive in north St. Louis County and beyond.
As an additional component, it includes a significant investment in the effort to restore and revitalize Normandie, one of the oldest public golf courses west of the Mississippi River.
The option to buy the real estate from the University of Missouri System has been exercised, with project groundbreaking expected this fall. Nicklaus Design, headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will lead the renovation, with Normandie thereafter becoming a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
Moreover, Normandie will be included as a potential qualifying site for both the ACC and the Advocates Professional Golf Association Tour’s new Ascension Classic presented by Daugherty Business Solutions, with the potential for eventually hosting the APGA Tour Ascension Classic in the future, as well as additional ACC Pro-Am outings.
