According to USMNT legend Tim Howard another legend will take his talents to Major League Soccer. Howard believes that Lionel Messi will come to America and play in MLS in the future. Howard shared this belief during the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

It’s not clear what intel Howard has on the situation and there’s a good chance it’s all speculation. The Messi to MLS rumor has a four-year streak and it’s getting insufferable at this point.
Earlier in May DIRECTV Sports — who ranks about as high on breaking soccer news as The Onion — made a bogus report that Messi was going to join Inter Miami in 2023 and get a 35 PERCENT STAKE IN THE CLUB.
Yeah, not going to happen. Messi’s agent said the claim was entirely false.
Wouldn’t be that surprised if Messi joins Miami someday, but a 35% stake in the club sets my BS meter off, and I’m surprised so many people are just amplifying the report.
Howard appears confident that one day Messi will come. The PSG star owns a condo in Miami Beach so it’s reasonable to think that he has plans on coming. Let’s just hope he doesn’t come to MLS with the same attitude as Gonzalo Higuaín did.
Messi coming to MLS wasn’t the only thing Howard and McAfee discussed. You can also watch has Howard does his best to inform McAfee that no, the United States is not going to win the 2022 and 2026 World Cup.
Are we gonna win the Soccer Lombardi?
