NASCAR and driver Kyle Busch last week honored a Boone County soldier who died in the Vietnam War in 1968.
The name of Sgt. Bill Thiem was carried on Busch’s #18 car at the Coca Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
This Memorial weekend marked the eighth session of the NASCA SAlutes, celebrating the service and sacrifice of U.S. service members and their families.
