MLB fans obviously have strong opinions about the validity of the 2017 World Series. Dodgers fans certainly have their own thoughts on it. But when it came out that the Astros had blatantly cheated to get that title, it rocked the baseball world.
But it does sound like there has been some retribution for that this week. The latest report is that the World Series banner located outside of Minute Maid Park is missing. The local news reported that the MLB banner appeared to have been pried off of its hinges, which was at the top of a pole in the plaza.
The Astros have reportedly said that they are looking into the matter, though it’s unclear when it was stolen. Naturally, MLB fans had some funny things to say across Twitter in the aftermath of the report.
The irony of it all is really the best part, though Astros fans are sure to be annoyed by it. But the good news for them is that it can easily be replaced, unlike the championship potential for every other team from the 2017 season.
