Graeagle Meadows Women’s Golf Club
Sixteen GMWGC members competed in the final round of the annual Captain’s Cup Championship on a very breezy June 16, with seven more players following the field. Play was followed by an awards luncheon at the Graeagle Meadows Clubhouse.

The Captain’s Cup is a low net match play event, in which the player earns one point for a hole won, one-half point for a hole tied, and zero points for a hole lost. Congratulations went to the 2022 Captain’s Cup Champion Kris Sutton, who won 22.5 points over the two rounds, and to Runner-Up Maureen Ford, with 21.5 points. The Flight A winners were: 1st Place, Debbie Fuetsch (21 points); and, 2nd Place, Donna Ward (20.5 points). In Flight B: 1st Place went to Dee Walker (21 points); and, in 2nd Place, Renee Miller (20 points).
Graeagle Men’s Golf Association
The 50th Annual Graeagle Men’s Golf Club Member-Guest Invitational is coming up on Friday and Saturday, July 29th and 30th. At present there are about 100 participants committed to play. If golfers have not yet submitted their entry, they are encouraged to do so soon. The current entry form is available on the Member Planet website. Jacket size of your team members is on the form. The field is limited to 120 players so, if golfers do not act soon, they may not be able to play.
The schedule for the tournament is: Registration from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, and from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday, July 29; shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Friday; continental breakfast both mornings; lunch after golf on Friday followed by a horse race; shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday; and, steak dinner Saturday night at the Picnic Grounds with entertainment.

The tournament format is two best balls of the four-man team, and there are two divisions: a White Tee division, which will have a Low Gross as the Tournament Champion, and Low Net; and, a White/Red Combo division, which will have Low Net awards.
The fee for the tournament is $250 per player, which is all inclusive, plus $27 per dinner for non-playing guests.
