Sunday MLB Sharp Report – VSiN Exclusive News – News

    June 26, 2022No Comments

4:10 p.m. ET: Philadelphia Phillies (38-35) at San Diego Padres (45-29)

The Phillies have taken two of the first three games of this NL non-division series. Philadelphia is coming off a 4-2 win on Saturday, cashing as +120 road dogs. In this late afternoon series finale, Philadelphia hands the ball to righty Kyle Gibson (4-3, 4.06 ERA) and San Diego counters with fellow righty Yu Darvish (7-3, 3.17 ERA). This line opened with the Padres listed as a -135 home favorite and the Phillies a +120 road dog. Sharps have laid the chalk with the Padres, steaming San Diego up from -135 to -155. Sunday teams coming off a loss against an opponent who missed the playoffs are 71-36 (66%) this season. San Diego also has correlative betting value as a favorite in a low total game (7.5). The Padres are 29-19 as a favorite, 21-15 at home and 28-20 against righties. The Phillies will be without star outfield Bryce Harper, who broke his thumb yesterday and is now out indefinitely.

2:10 p.m. ET: Toronto Blue Jays (40-31) at Milwaukee Brewers (41-33)

These Interleague opponents have split the first two games of the series, with the Blue Jays winning the opener 9-4 as -140 road favorites and then the Brewers winning on Saturday 5-4 as -200 home favorites. In this afternoon’s rubber match, the Jays start righty Jose Berrios (5-3, 5.11 ERA) and the Brewers turn to journeyman righty Chi Chi Gonzalez (0-1, 6.75 ERA). This line opened with Toronto listed as a short -125 road favorite and Milwaukee a +115 home dog. Pros have hammered the Jays, steaming Toronto up from -125 to -150. Non-division road favorites are 136-72 (65%) this season. The Jays are 32-21 as a favorite, 19-17 on the road and 33-24 against righties. Toronto also has the edge at the plate, hitting .256 compared to Milwaukee hitting .232. The Jays are 10-4 in Berrios’ 14 starts this season.

2:10 p.m. ET: Colorado Rockies (31-41) at Minnesota Twins (40-33)

These Interleague foes have split the first two games of the series. The Rockies stole the opener 1-0, cashing as +130 road dogs. Then the Twins bounced back with a 6-0 win on Saturday, taking care of business as -170 home favorites. In this afternoon’s rubber match, Colorado taps righty Ryan Feltner (1-2, 5.46 ERA) and Minnesota sends out fellow righty Joe Ryan (5-3, 3.00 ERA). This line opened with the Twins listed as a hefty -185 home favorite and the Rockies a +170 road dog. Pros aren’t scared off by the expensive price and have steamed the Twins up from -185 to -205. Minnesota has value as an Interleague favorite with a line move (lack of familiarity benefits the “better” team). Home favorites -200 or more are 108-45 (71%) this season. Colorado is just 22-34 as a dog, 12-22 on the road and 19-27 against righties. Meanwhile, Minnesota is 28-17 as a favorite, 22-17 at home and 27-24 against righties. The Twins sport a team ERA of 3.84 compared to 4.89 for the Rockies.
