Friday Night Soccer at the Northern Blair County Recreation Center are nights where friends get together to kick the ball around and enjoy the summer evening! It is based around unstructured play which means the kids will play all by themselves yet supervised by parents. Northern Blair Recreation Center General Manager, Jamie Levinson, said, “We wanted to provide a soccer program at no cost that benefits both Tyrone and Bellwood-Antis communities.”
Friday Night Soccer will start July 8 and run July 15, 22, 29, Aug. 5 and Aug. 12, 5-7 p.m. This will be for any parent or player that wants to have a fun night kicking the soccer ball around! Parents and players are welcome to stop by or leave anytime between the times listed! Participants are asked to bring a soccer ball, water ball, and a positive attitude with a smile!
Alex Bartlett, Northern Blair Recreation Center director of soccer said, “This new addition to our soccer program is meant to get kids of all ages and skill levels playing soccer more frequently and learning to love the beautiful game!”
