Ruben Neves has revealed that he expected to leave Wolves at the end of last season.
The Portugal international has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United but has remained a Wolves player this summer.
With just five days to go until the transfer deadline, it seems likely that the midfielder will stay at the club.
“Well, let’s see what happens,” Neves told The Times. “I try to focus 100 per-cent on my football and I had a good start to the season but we need results now.
“If you ask me at the end of last season I would have said to you, ‘I will leave’ but I’m still here, so we never know what’s going to happen.”
