The Bills came into the 2022 NFL season with high expectations, and after two weeks they’re certainly living up to the hype.
Buffalo followed up an impressive Week 1 win over the Rams by obliterating the hapless Tennessee Titans at home on Monday Night Football.
Josh Allen was dominant once again, carving up the Titans’ defense with ease as he racked up 327 total yards and 4 touchdowns. His favorite target, Stefon Diggs, had a stellar night of his own, securing 12 catches for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The game got off to a fast start, with both teams scoring touchdowns on their first offensive drives. Josh Allen found fullback Reggie Gilliam on a screen pass to get the Bills on the board first, before Derrick Henry bulldozed his way into the end zone to answer.
Unfortunately for Titans fans, those would be their last points of the night.

Buffalo completely dominated the rest of the way on both sides of the ball. Even when the Titans’ defense forced a rare stop, their offense committed several untimely turnovers to keep the momentum firmly with the Bills.
Ryan Tannehill had a rough night, finishing 11-20 with 117 yards and 2 interceptions, including a pick-six to Matt Milano in the third quarter. He was pulled from the game for the final few drives, with rookie Malik Willis taking his place.
Even Derrick Henry, who was stellar in his previous two games against the Bills, never got anything going after his touchdown. He was held to just 25 yards on 13 carries for the night.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was blunt in his postgame assessment of the game. “We got our asses kicked, plain and simple,” he told reporters. Hard to disagree with that.
“We got our a—s kicked.”

For the Bills, it was another stunning display of just how good they can be. Many predicted they would bring a Super Bowl to Western New York for the first time ever this season, and after two weeks that looks like a real possibility.
Next up for the Bills is a matchup with the similarly 2-0 Miami Dolphins, while the Titans will have to regroup ahead of a date with the Las Vegas Raiders.

10:30 p.m. — Victory formation here in Buffalo. 34 unanswered points by the home team blew this game wide open, and Bills Mafia will be celebrating tonight.
10:26 p.m. — There’s the two-minute warning. If there was still any doubt left about whether the Bills are Super Bowl contenders, that should be gone after tonight. For the Titans, this season has started about as badly as it possibly could have.
10:21 p.m. — James Cook, the Bills’ rookie running back, just ripped off a nice 33-yard run. He’s trying to redeem himself after fumbling in his only carry in Week 1 against the Rams.
10:14 p.m. — The Bills punt it away. Willis, a third-round draft pick this year out of Liberty, will get at least a few more snaps in his NFL debut.
10:09 p.m. — Tennessee turns it over again. Willis breaks free on a scramble but coughs up the ball and the Bills recover. That’s turnover No. 4 on the night for the Titans.

10:00 p.m. — The Bills just won the 3rd quarter by a margin of 24-0. Sheesh. Josh Allen finishes 26-38 with 317 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. Another unbelievable performance from Buffalo in Week 2.

9:56 p.m. — Another Titans punt, but at this point it’s just a matter of how much the Bills will win by. Case Keenum has replaced Josh Allen at quarterback for Buffalo.
Bills 41, Titans 7
9:50 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — OK, this is officially a rout. Matt Milano picks off Tannehill and takes it all the way to the house for the pick-six. This is heading towards another statement win for Buffalo.

9:32 p.m. — Tennessee holds the Bills to a field goal, but that’s still not doing them much good at this point. Bass has stretched the lead to 20 points midway through the third quarter.
9:27 p.m. — Speaking of punting, Buffalo has finally been forced into kicking it away. That’s their first punt this season. But wait, the Bills IMMEDIATELY have the ball back. Kyle Phillips muffs the catch and Buffalo falls on it to force the turnover!
Maybe we should punt more often. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

9:10 p.m. — The Titans defense had a great chance to get off the field, but Allen finds Jamison Crowder on 3rd and long to move the chains.
9:06 p.m. — They won’t get any, though. The Bills defense holds again to force another punt, with a Tannehill deep ball intended for Westbrook-Ikhine falling incomplete on 3rd down.
9:03 p.m. — The second half is underway, with the Titans getting the ball first. They could use some points on this drive to keep within striking distance.
9:01 p.m. — Josh Allen’s stats in the first half: 18/23, 208 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 133.3 passer rating. Not too shabby.
8:58 p.m. — The touchdown was nice, but these celebratory moves by Stefon Diggs may have been even nicer.
This was too smooth @stefondiggs

8:34 p.m. — With Buffalo facing another 4th and short situation deep in Titans territory, it looks like they’ve gotten bailed out by an offsides call on the defense. However, Sean McDermott called a timeout just before the snap.
8:28 p.m. — Here come the Bills again. Josh Allen and company have the ball in the red zone thanks to a deep ball to Jake Kumerow and a pair of completions to Stefon Diggs. That’ll bring us to the two-minute warning.
8:23 p.m. — For the first time tonight, we have a three-and-out. Buffalo’s defense stifles the Titans to force another punt. On the injury front, Taylor Lewan has been ruled questionable to return.
Bills 10, Titans 7
8:20 p.m. — Here’s another look at that false start call. The Titans may have caught a break there…

8:07 p.m. — Now the Bills come up with a much-needed stop on defense. An offensive facemask penalty backs the Titans up, and they can’t convert another 3rd and long play. Buffalo has the ball back inside its own 20-yard line.
8:02 p.m. — The Titans convert on 3rd and 15 after a nice catch and run by Treylon Burks. They’ve moved the ball into Bills territory once again.
End of first quarter: Bills 7, Titans 7
