The inaugural Randall L. Woodfin Charity Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Monday, Oct. 24, at Highland Park Golf Course, 3300 Highland Ave.
The tournament will start at 8 a.m.
The Birmingham mayor is working with a group of business leaders to raise money to support the Penney Foundation, a local nonprofit foundation that focuses on helping families economically through community development.
“We need everyone to join in for progress in Birmingham,” says Mayor Woodfin. “Government cannot make Birmingham better alone. The business and civic leaders that participate in this golf tournament will be doing their part to invest in the next generation of residents.”
Stewart Perry Construction, Alabama Sports Council, The Benoit Group and Golf Galaxy are supporting the tournament to help improve the quality of life for Birmingham residents.
Tournament sponsorships are still available through Sept. 30. Team registration is open through early October, based on availability.
