COLUMBIA — The New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats won the team championship Monday in the Class 1 District 2 Tournament at L.A. Nickell Golf Course.
New Bloomfield was atop the team standings with a score of 430, three strokes ahead of runner-up Tipton and 10 better than third-place Harrisburg.
Dixie Moss led New Bloomfield, finishing second out of 45 golfers in the individual district standings with an 18-over 88.
Nataleigh White tied for 10th place with a 108 for the Lady Wildcats, followed by Caeli Lawrence, who tied for 19th place with a 113. Logann Bryan rounded out New Bloomfield’s team score with a 121, finishing in 31st place, and Kennedy Wisdom tied for 37th place with a 132.
Moss, White, Lawrence and Bryan will all advance to the Class 1 state tournament, which takes places next Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Missouri in Columbia.

In their first season of girls golf, the Tipton Lady Cardinals are going to state as a team.
Tipton took second place Monday in the Class 1 District 2 Tourament with a team score of 433, finishing three strokes behind district champion New Bloomfield.
The Lady Cardinals’ top four golfers — Myra Claas, Brett Cox, Ava Schlotzhauer and Briar Cox — will play in the Class 1 state tournament next Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Missouri in Columbia.
Claas led Tipton with a 97, finishing in fourth place in the individual standings. Brett Cox placed 12th with a 109, followed by Schlotzhauer, who tied for 13th with a 110. Briar Cox tied for 23rd with a 117.
Tipton’s fifth golfer, Olivia Wolf, took 35th place with a 130.

Kate Hackmann led the Eugene Lady Eagles during Monday’s Class 1 District 2 Tournament.
Hackmann qualified for state by tying for 10th place in the individual standings with a 108. Eugene finished seventh in the team standings with a 492.
Grace Eidson shot a 118 to tie for 25th place for the Lady Eagles, while Loghan Sumner tied for 33rd with a 125. Macie Statler placed 43rd with a 141.

Belle’s Annastyn Lansford qualified for state, finishing in eighth place Monday at the Class 1 District 2 Tournament.
Lansford, Belle’s only district golfer, shot a 105 to lead the Lady Tigers.

The South Callaway Lady Bulldogs ended their season Monday at the Class 1 District 2 Tournament.
Gabrielle Hecktor led South Callaway with a 120 to finish 30th in the individual standings.
The Lady Bulldogs’ other golfer, Isabella Neeley, placed 44th with a 143.
