Swifties and football, name a more iconic duo.
Taylor Swift and the NFL have been intertwined in rumors in 2022. The pop artist was the center of attention regarding the Super Bowl 57 halftime show.
As it turns out, that gig went to Rihanna, but Swift’s involvement with the NFL didn’t stop there.
During the “Thursday Night Football” matchup between the Cardinals and Saints, a trailer for Swift’s upcoming project, “Midnights,” set to release, you guessed it, at midnight, aired in the third quarter.

MORE: Why Taylor Swift revealed ‘Midnights’ trailer during ‘TNF’
Swift made a lengthy preamble before actually getting into the trailer, which left a few people wanting more β or wondering what the heck just happened.
Obviously, the Venn diagram of Taylor Swift fans and NFL fans feels like it has very little overlap, so fans who came to Amazon Prime Video to watch the “TNF” game were rightfully confused by Swift’s long-winded explanation for the project and, obviously, the trailer itself.
What the hell was that?! Did they really stop a NFL game to pub a Taylor Swift project?
