Q: Needing an RB and flex in half-PPR between Jeff Wilson Jr., AJ Dillon, Melvin Gordon, Tyler Allgeier, Allen Lazard, George Pickens, and Alec Pierce. Christian McCaffrey is making me question playing Wilson. -Matthew A.
Talked about Wilson at the top of the blog this morning … Lazard is not the new Davante Adams, but he is a higher usage and more trustworthy play than Pickens or Pierce. Again, Washington gives up a ton of fantasy points to wide receivers. If you needed a massive upside play, the Pickett-Pickens combo is tempting against Miami, but Lazard is the safest play.
At the RB spot, I’d give Melvin Gordon one more chance. He has 10 red zone carries this season, and though last week was atrocious, they are going to keep him involved. I feel like it’s going to be a big Aaron Jones week for Green Bay, and Allgeier and Huntley were used so similarly last week that it’s hard to trust either vs. the Bengals.
