OVERALL
#6 Women’s Soccer went a perfect 12-0 in regular season conference play and took home the regular season title for the 4th straight year. Winning the regular season, the Lady Eagles entered the KCAC Tournament as the #1 seed, set to face off with the #8 seed.
Defeating all 3 teams they played in the tournament, the Lady Eagles took home the KCAC Tournament Championship and earned an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
HIGHLIGHTS
Quarterfinal v. Avila: 10-0 Win
Semifinal v. Friends: 6-0 Win
Championship v. Southwestern: 3-0 Win
The Lady Eagles scored 19 goals throughout the 3 games of tournament play and completely shutout their opponents.
Scoring 8 of the 19 goals, Naroa Domenech was a force on the field. Following closely behind her was Laura Maria with 4 goals. With a combined 12 of 19 goals, the two Lady Eagles proved why they were Freshmen of the Year (Domenech) and Player of the Year (Maria).
In the box for the Lady Eagles, Narea Mora was solid, shutting out all three teams and leading her team to 3 more season wins. Mora ended the tournament with 10 saves and no goals scored, Mora proved why she was deemed Goalie of the Year for the KCAC.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Lady Eagles are hosting the 1st and 2nd rounds of the National Tournament starting Thursday, November 17th with a match-up versus Hastings College.
