“So in other words. Elon Musk goes, picks his kid up, and all of a sudden, the media and people are there to attack him, jump on the hood of his car. He’s like, Whoa, Whoa, we gonna suspend your ass. You’re gonna quit doing this stuff. That’s illegal. So now he suspends some CNN people. And he suspends it for seven days.”
Kenny Wallace continued, “Here’s the moral of the story though. Here’s what’s funny is all get out, CNN says they can’t do that. That’s where we report the news. We go to Twitter. That’s where journalists report the news now is on Twitter (laughs hysterically). Like like the emoji. What the f*ck. Now you’re going on Twitter and Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat to report the news. Boy, have times changed? We gotta have Twitter to report the news. I got an idea do your f*cking job (continues laughing).”
Elon Musk’s incident that Kenny Wallace was referring to
The suspensions of the journalist’s accounts came after Musk threatened legal action against a Twitter handle, that apparently shared the live location of his private jet. Moreover, it was later ascertained that apparently several journalists also helped to compromise the real-time location of Musk and his children. Concerned about this invasion of privacy and disclosure of sensitive information, he took action by suspending several prominent journos from Twitter.
However, soon after, the BBC reported that his actions were met with harsh criticism across the board. Media organizations jumped onto Musk’s earlier tweets about free speech and making Twitter a town square. Furthermore, even organizations such as the European Union and the United Nations also criticized Musk for changing his narrative at his own convenience.

Meanwhile, the EU has already threatened the social media company with sanctions. Moreover, several journalists who were suspended from the platform mentioned that they did not even understand why they were included in the suspension list. Musk’s actions look like he intentionally attempted to block his critics. Despite having previously mentioned how he wanted to have his harshest critics remain on Twitter.
