Veteran middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado, 36-years-old, is still mulling his future in the sport.
Rosado has fought a who’s who of top boxers in his career.
In 2020, he lost a controversial twelve round split decision to Daniel Jacobs.
He bounced back in full force the following year with a dramatic one-punch knockout of undefeated super middleweight puncher Bektemir Melikuziev.
Rosado is currently dealing with a three fight losing streak, with his record standing at 26 wins, 16 defeats, 1 draw, and 15 wins by knockout.
He dropped back to middleweight to lose a twelve round decision to Jaime Munguia. And in 2022, he returned to super middleweight to lose a ten round split decision to Shane Mosley Jr, and a ten round decision to Ali Akhmedov on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennadiy Golovkin trilogy card.
At this point Rosado is unsure if he will fight again.
“It’s hard to define what will happen to my career because I’ve been here for 17 years as a professional, with a lot of dedication, and a lot of sacrifices,” Rosado told DAZN.
“Right now I think it’s more of a mental challenge than a physical one. But I think it’s in the right space and I’ll figure out what I want to do. I just need to be in the right place mentally and make the decision.
“These 17 years I’ve been on every single TV station… you name it. I’ve had a good time and I’m excited to find out what’s next.”
