Even an epic winter storm couldn’t cool down the Buffalo Sabres who come into today’s holiday matinee matchup with the league-leading Boston Bruins on a five-game winning streak and win in eight of their last eleven games. The winning streak could be even longer had Buffalo not had two games postponed due to travel concerns after being buried in 43 inches of snow last week. The Boston Bruins own the best record in the NHL with a 28-4-3 record as the season nears its midway point. Boston won the first matchup at Buffalo on Nov. 12 by a 3-1 score on a pair of Patrice Bergeron goals.
