Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors (34-29) will travel to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers (36-27) in part of the NBA Sunday slate. Will Fred VanVleet be available to play?
VanVleet is currently dealing with a knee injury that has kept him sidelined since the Raptors lost 127-100 to the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 26. He finished with 24 points and 9 assists but shot just 8/22 (36.4%) from the floor and 5/14 (35.7%) from beyond the arc.
According to the NBA’s official injury report for the Raptors vs Cavaliers matchup, Toronto will not have either VanVleet or Malachi Flynn available—leaving them without a regular point guard option to turn to.
The Raptors have gone 2-2 in the games they’ve played since Fred VanVleet was last in the lineup. With both point guards out, Toronto is expected to start Dalano Banton.
