MESA, Ariz. — The Cincinnati women’s golf team cut eight strokes off its first-round score to highlight its second day in the Clover Cup.
Four out of five Bearcats improved their scores, with Alexis Daniel doing the most at five. Paighton Masterson also jumped three, while leaders Katie Hallinan and Sadie Pan held stayed consistent with 75s each.
“The team came close to putting a round together today,” head coach Janet Carl said. “We need to keep working out game plan and need a few more putts to drop. We are looking forward to continued improvement in the areas we worked on the past few months.”
Cincinnati now sits two strokes away from FIU for 16th. It previously had its best final round in the Mercer Invitational to close the fall, while its lowest of any third was in the season-opening Pirate Collegiate Classic.
