Colin Kaepernick still has his sights set on a return to the gridiron. Despite not playing in the NFL since 2016, the free agent quarterback knows he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Recently, Kaepernick looked for a pass-catcher to help him train and found a willing guy in Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett. After their workout on Monday, which saw Lockett run routes for Kaepernick, both guys expressed their gratitude for each other.
Lockett, a three-time All-Pro member, even said via Twitter that the former San Francisco 49ers star is ready.
Yessir!! That man Kap is ready!! https://t.co/GRZBaqWEC0

The 34-year-old Kaepernick led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2013, but ever since his famous national anthem protest, he has become a pariah of sorts in the NFL. Every free agency, his comeback attempt grabs headlines, with some squads even expressing interest. But still, nothing has come to fruition for the talented QB.
Kaepernick continues to become a leading voice in combatting social injustice. While he lost millions of dollars since his banishment from the NFL, he has said he’s more than willing to lose money than stay silent. His stance has been a polarizing topic for years now, but the former Nevada standout has been admired by his fellow athletes, including NBA stars LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.
And now with Lockett’s kind gesture, Kaepernick clearly earned another supporter.
