CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis team travels out west to face off against the Kansas City Roos Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo at the Plaza Tennis Center.
The Bearcats are coming off a double-header sweep at home with a 4-0 win over Bellarmine and a 7-0 win over Holy Cross College (Ind.)

This is the first time that UC will face-off against Kansas City
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
- The Bearcats are on an eight-game win streak and are 9-3 overall on the season.
- Redshirt sophomore Kelli Niehaus is undefeated in singles action this season at 9-0 after winning her match over Holy Cross College (Ind.) 6-0, 6-0.
- Redshirt senior Emma Miceli (9-3) and freshman Callie Flanagan (5-2) are also coming off 6-0, 6-0 wins over Holy Cross College (Ind.) while freshman Elizabeth Pendergast (5-6) won 6-1, 6-1.
- Redshirt senior Iona Guna is 5-5 on the season and redshirt junior Maria Sanilli is 6-4 in singles action.
SCOUTING THE ROOS
- Kansas City is 2-5 overall on the season and 0-2 in the Summit League.
- Last time out, the Roos picked up the doubles point for only the second time this year over South Dakota but ultimately fell in yet another one-point decision, 4-3.
