KEARNEY, Neb. — The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s tennis team lost 7-0 to No. 12 ranked Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday.
SMSU lost two of three doubles matches with Maja Louis Harck and Kristina Vuksanovic winning 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Courtenay Leonard lost in three sets at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (10-3), with SMSU losing the other five matches in straight sets.
SMSU, 11-9 overall, returns to NSIC play on March 26 taking on Minnesota State in St. Peter. The Mustangs will also play Gustavus later that day in a non-conference match.
