The 2021/22 campaign is now behind us and Mikel Arteta’s side are now looking to strengthen in the summer transfer window, with a midfielder, a striker and a fullback all expected to arrive in north London. The likes of Nicolas Pepe, Hector Bellerin and Bernd leno have all been linked with a move away from the club as technical director Edu looks to continue the Gunners’ rebuild.

De jong admission
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has admitted that he would like to stay at the Nou Camp despite considerable interest from a number of Europe’s top clubs.
“I can’t say anything about that but I prefer to stay at Barcelona”, he said when asked about any potential interest in his services. “I have already said it before, Barcelona are the club of my dreams since I was little.
“If other clubs call I will take the call, of course. It is something that is always done.”

Wilshere retirement?
Jack Wilshere has admitted he would consider retiring for the right coaching role.
“It all depends,” Wilshere told Goal when asked about hanging up his boots. “Because I’ve been through so much in the last 18 months in terms of not having a club, I know what that feels like.
“If a coaching opportunity came up, I wouldn’t be sad to say ‘right that’s it, I’m done with playing’.”

Ruiz interest
According to journalist Ezrem Konur, Arsenal are keen to sign Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

Torreira admission
Lucas Torreira has made it no secret of his desire to stay at Fiorentina next season.
Speaking to FanPage, he said: “My intention is to stay at Fiorentina, but the club will need to find an agreement with Arsenal. I am very well in Florence. I am very well in Italy.”

Alvaro Morata is reportedly not enthusiastic about a potential move to Arsenal this summer, according to Calciomercato.

As per our sister title The Manchester Evening New , Manchester City will have to convince Olexandr Zinchenko that he will play more regularly next season if they are to fend off interest from Arsenal.
The 25-year-old played just 1047 minutes in the Premier League last term, with Portuguese international Joao Cancelo preferred at left-back.

RAI journalist Ciro Venerato has claimed that Arsenal and Manchester United are battling it out to sign Napoli maestro Fabian Ruiz.
“De Laurentiis would like to give away Fabian Ruiz, valued at €30m (£25m)”, he said.

Tierney revelation
Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has opened up about his recent knee injury.
Speaking to the Sun, he said: “We played Wolves at home in February and I felt something in my knee in the first half.
“I told the physios and we tested it. But it was fine and it also wasn’t that sore. I carried on playing for Arsenal, then reported for Scotland duty and played twice with no problems. I came back completely fine. Then I was doing some leg exercises in the gym and my left knee clicked.
“I instinctively felt it wasn’t right and that I should probably go for a scan.”

Zinchenko interest
Arsenal transfer guru Charles Watts has confirmed that the north London side are interested in signing Manchester City defender Olexandr Zinchenko.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “This is a really interesting one, now Arsenal are interested in Oleksandr Zinchenko.
“Certainly from people you speak to up in the north, in and around Manchester City, there has been interest expressed by Arsenal in Zinchenko.”
