When was the last time the Warriors won the championship?
The most recent of Golden State’s six titles came in 2018.
After signing Kevin Durant in the 2016 offseason, the Warriors won back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018.
They won 67 games in 2016-17, then followed that with a 58-win season in 2017-18. They rolled their way through the first two rounds of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, defeating the Spurs in five games in the first round and the Pelicans in five games in the second round.
Golden State was met with resistance in the Conference Finals, trailing the Rockets 3-2, but prevailed to win the next two games and advance to the NBA Finals.
Despite a historic performance from LeBron James in the Finals, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in four games to win the NBA title.
Durant was named Finals MVP for the second consecutive year with averages of 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.3 blocks per game.
