According to France 24, a spokesman for the Spaniard said Wednesday: “Rafa is already at home and will spend three or four days doing normal, maintaining, physical activity.
“Depending on the effect of the treatment, as long as it’s positive, he will later return to training on the court.
“We don’t rule out a second treatment being carried out in the next week.”
Nadal missed Wimbledon last year due to this very same injury.
That kept him away from competition beginning immediately after Roland Garros in June until August, before the Spaniard was forced to sit out the rest of 2021 after just two matches back at the Washington Open.
After returning in 2022, the 35-year-old has since won a new men’s record 21st Slam at the Australian Open and a record-extending 22nd Major on his favourite court just last week.
That took him two ahead of rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, the latter of whom will be favourite for Wimbledon beginning on 27th June.
