Kayla Goblirsch, Sr.,
Cathedral
Goblirsch finished her senior year as the Tomahawk Conference and Section 2A girls’ champion, finishing 20th at the state tournament. She was also the conference Player of the Year and averaged a 40 over nine holes.
Morgan Engholm, Sr., Cedar Mountain
Engholm finished her career at Cedar Mountain as a two-time state golfer. This season at state, Engholm ended in 40th place with a two-day total of 200 at Pebble Creek Golf Club. Engholm averaged a 47.9 per nine holes this season and had a low score of 45. She also helped Cedar Mountain win a share of the girls’ conference title and was an All-Conference golfer. She will attend Southwest Minnesota State University in the fall.
Liz Schwint, Jr., SEU
Schwint helped captain the Sleepy Eye United girls’ golf team to its first-ever state tournament since the SEU golf co-op was formed in 2016. After some initial struggles this season, Schwint found her stroke and was key in the team winning a share of the Tomahawk Conference title and the Section 2A title. She averaged a 48 her last 10 nine-hole meets of the season and was named All-Conference for the second time. She also finished second individually in the Section 2A tournament. She took 41st overall at state this season.
Keanna Hultquist, Jr., Cedar Mountain
Hultquist finished her junior season with a trip to the state golf tournament in Becker. She was also a Tomahawk All-Conference golfer this year and placed fifth in the Section 2A tournament. She averaged a 49.6 per nine holes and had a season-low score of 44. She also played a big role in the Cedar Mountain girls’ team winning a share of the conference title.
Abbie Riederer, Sr., MVL
Riederer was the leading scorer for the Minnesota Valley Lutheran girls’ golf team this year, turning in the team’s lowest score in every meet. She was also an All-Conference player this season. After MVL moved to Class AA this season, Riederer made it to Day 2 of the Section 3AA tournament. She just missing the cut to return to the state tournament by a few strokes, finishing 19th overall with a two-day total of 187 at Oakdale Golf Club.
Jenna Schweiss, So., GFW
Schweiss ended her sophomore campaign with a nine-hole average of 51. She was also a Tomahawk All-Conference player this year and finished third overall in the Tomahawk Conference Golf Tournament. She finished seventh in the Section 2A tournament.
