DuBOIS — DuBois Central Catholic School is hosting its fourth annual golf tournament with proceeds benefiting educational programs and student scholarships for children in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
The golf outing will be held on Friday, Sept. 2 at the DuBois Country Club.
According to new DCC Advancement Director Mark Barchony, “Having spent my career working for the PGA TOUR and in golf course management, I am delighted that my first opportunity to impact the school, teachers, and students at DuBois Central Catholic is through this golf outing. The most successful golf events encompass a great course, passionate players, and worthwhile cause. We are delighted to have all three.”
Participants can register a foursome, sponsor the tournament, see a list of silent auction items which are growing daily, or purchase 50/50 raffle tickets by using this link –www.charitygolftoday.com/dccouting.
Barchony shared, “Being a part of and seeing the community support of this event is one of the reasons I returned to live and work in my hometown of DuBois.”
The silent auction will be open for bids on Friday, Aug. 26. The 50/50 raffle will be drawn the day of the tournament and online winners will be notified. Both of these are great ways for non-golfers and out of town supporters to impact the school. All are welcome to purchase tickets and bid on the silent auction items.
This event benefits the school, students, and teachers and helps to achieve DuBois Central Catholic School’s goal of “Empowering THEIRFuture in Academics, Faith, and Leadership.”
